HR Business Partner - British American Tobacco


Job description

Support line management in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy.

Implement appropriate learning interventions taking into account learning principles and theories (e.g. training programmes, coaching, on-the-job learning …etc.) and manage the ongoing delivery.

Ensure the building of talent pipeline (identified successors) within the Trade function and HR rigorous development plans/opportunities are in place.

Facilitate change and change management interventions, inspiring colleagues to embrace change in order to ensure they are equipped for future challenges.

Drive the people processes (Performance, Development, and Career) to ensure employees level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards.

Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR plan as well as participating in functional and cross functional initiatives.

Promote feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes.

Act as link between the organization needs and HR specialist services (Reward, OD/Talent and shared Services), ensuring a high level of service excellence and support and ensuring that all reward decisions are fair and objective

Provide guidance on all people decisions, in order to enhance team performance, morale, productivity, culture and diversity thereby ensuring the attraction, development and retention of world class talent.

Understand and in touch with employee opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns.
Regular engagement with key stakeholders (i.e. staff, Management) to ensure delivery of functional strategy and in order to pro-actively launch/embed relevant HR related initiatives

Maintain close contact with Area HR to work in synchronization with the other Business Units in the Area.

Develop and utilize internal and external networks to remain abreast of HR strategies and practices, sharing developments and ideas, and seeking feedback and insights relevant to own performance and growth.

Essential requirements
  • Higher education in Business Administration and/or HR Management with a minimum 5 years relevant experience in a multinational organization (preference to multinational FMCGs)
  • Written and verbal fluency in English
  • Ability to engage, inspire and influence people and Team player
  • Customer service orientation
  • Project management skills and eager to deliver results
