Job description

For an important tunneling project for a multinational firm we are looking for an HSE Supervisor to assist the HSE team on site.

Safety Supervisor's tasks:

• Cooperate with HSE team on site, direct contact and support to Site Manager, Safety Manager VISTRA srl and Main Contractor
• Safety inspections/audit in site in order to verify all the people work in safe way (subcontractors included) and respect safety procedures e regulations on Safety at work
• Arrangement and management of HS (health and Safety) meetings in site. Capacity to report about progress, criticalities, prevention and protection measures
• Safety officer Coordination and management
• Arrangement of Management and operational HS (Health and Safety) procedures (work permit, work at high, confined space,..)
• Risk assessment ability; definition prevention  and protection measures
• Providing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment like safety helmet, safety glasses, safety harness, ear plug,..) to workers and checking correct wearing
• Arrangement and Carrying out Safety Induction to new people who enter in site for the first time
• Immediate availability
• Job period: one year, extendable to 4 years

Desired Skills and Experience

• Age minimum 30 years max 50 years roughly
• Education level minimum equivalent to high school
• At least 5 years experience in HSE (Health, Safety, Environmental)  management (preferably in erection and construction work)
• Very good knowledge of HS risk mostly related to work at high, confined space, hot work, interferences, scaffolding, lifting and to other criticalities present in construction and tunneling activities
• Attendance on specific and advanced training courses on Health and Safety at work
• Very Good English (spoken, written, understanding fluently)
• Reliability, punctuality and precision in the execution of his duty
• Ability to work in team
